Trekkies Get Anxious As Trump Reveals The New Logo Of Space Force

We Trekkies knew we were in for an eventful year. We had two major releases lined up – , Star Trek: Picard and Star Trek: Lower Decks of which the former has already been released which has been positively received by fans worldwide. But now the year is taking a weird turn.

US President Donald Trump recently unveiled the logo of Space force, a branch of US army. This logo eerily similar. Itis almost identical to the Star Trek franchise’s logo.

A few days ago another fandom was shook by the reveal of Space force’s uniforms. The uniforms had a woodland camouflage pattern and the words “United States Space Force” stitched onto the front. This camouflage is something that in the battle with native Ewoks on the forest moon of Endor the Stormtroopers wished they had, as the Rebel Alliance forces did to save themselves from the guerrilla attack of the Rebels.

Now all these similarities have made both the fans question a lot of things. Is there a war in space? Do we need to prepare? And does that preparation include a binge watch.

For years every Star wars fan and Star Trek fanhave fantasised about something like this. But nobody ever expected it to become the truth. It is great to watch but to participate, I don’t know.

The whole reveal left not only the fans dumbfounded but also many eminent personalities.

George Takei, who played Sulu on Star Trek, responded to President Donald Trump and his Space Force tweet by saying that the franchise was expecting royalties. Let me tell you the logo is so similar that Star trek could actually sue the government.

Other people who responded include Alyssa Milano, Ned Pyle and James Felton.

Donald Trump attached a description with his tweet that read,

“After consultation with our Great Military Leaders, designers, and others, I am pleased to present the new logo for the United States Space Force, the Sixth Branch of our Magnificent Military!”
