Trailer Of Saw: Spiral Released Online

One of the most anticipated reboot of this year Spiral recently dropped its trailer online. People especially fans have a lot of expectations from this movie as it is set to reinvigorate this beloved franchise which though still boasts a huge number of fans but in the tides of time has lost its touch.

The last movie of the franchise Jigsaw which was released in 2017 gave one of the worst critical performances of this franchise even though remained a financial hit.

Spiral stars Chris Rock, Samuel L. Jackson, Max Minghella, and Marisol Nichols in main roles. The film is heavily riding on Chris Rocks shoulders as it is based on a story given by the comedian himself. At the same time the movie is also produced by him.

The movie will be directed by Darren Lynn Bousman, who previously directed Saw II, Saw III, and Saw IV, some of the best in the franchise.

The movie wrapped production in August and is going to release on May 15 220. Though slated for an October release the movie was moved up to avoid competition from Halloween Kills, which is bound to be a huge hit following the successful revival of that franchise and also to open up the summer and make use of that lucrative slot.

Chris Rock expects to improve the tone of the movie by introducing some humour. Fans have loved Saw because of its gory nature and bloody theme but considering the repetitiveness fans have felt for eight movies, this change might be welcome.

“A lot of times I go to a movie or I watch a TV show and I go, ‘Wow, you know, two jokes would have made a big difference in that,’” Rock told IGN. “I love Saw, but I was like ‘Wow, it has almost no humour at all.’ So, it seemed like a good place…good fertile ground…By the way, the new Saw, I’ve seen like a rough cut. It’s still Saw…it’s bloody, it’s gory, but there’s like a sprinkling of humour here and there. We’re not revamping it, it’s not Scary Movie, it’s Saw.”

People still are figuring out the plot of the movie. As conventionally the Killer attacks wrong doers in the movie but here the victim are Police Officers. The reason as to why they are attacked is still unclear, even by the trailer.
