Tony Todd Ready To Display His Applause Worthy Performance In Candyman

Recently we got the first teaser of the new Candyman movie, the anticipation regarding this movie was at an all-time high considering how much of a classic the original one was. When the news about the movie broke, people especially fans wanted to know more about how they are going to take forward the legacy. But till now we had nothing, therefore it was momentous when Universal Pictures debuted the first poster and a trailer tease offering the first look at footage from the movie, along with this they confirmed that the full trailer will debut this Thursday. All this speculation put further focus on the literal elephant in the room regarding this movie more specifically about its titular character, fans just could not stop thinking, if Tony Todd will be reprising his role from the 1992 original once again. Though the studio has not confirmed anything we do know for a fact that he will be involved in some capacity, as the actor confirmed as much in a previous interview.

The anticipation regarding Todd’s involvement in the film has been a bit of a topsy turvy journey for fans. The actor previously casted doubt regarding his involvement by saying he had “mixed feelings” about the film. After that he gave another interview releasing the message in the world, January of 2019 that he wanted to be involved “One Way or Another” and then saying he wouldn’t “take it personally” if he wasn’t asked to return, though later backtracked and said in March of the same year that he was hurt by not getting that call. In May of last year though the actor confirmed finally that he would appear in some capacity after producer Jordan Peele called him.

Though we don’t really know how he will appear it has been suggested that his appearance will be applause worthy. Well that just means one thing he is donning the character of Candyman in some way or the other.
