Big shows and movies are a serious deal and you can’t take it easily. There are millions of dollars invested in them with hundreds and hundreds of people working day in and day out. There is intellectual energy involved and physical draining is a part and parcel of it. And when audiences go ahead and watch it all these creators want them to enjoy every bit of it. This enjoyment can only happen if they are completely unspoiled. You can’t really enjoy a movie if you know everything, about it, right. Therefore it is our responsibility as people who enjoy these creative works to maintain its sacredness no matter what.
Marvel takes this very seriously and actively tries to maintain the secrecy of their projects. Only letting the people close to the project know what exactly is happening. And those involves actors. And though we see these actors as super humans, they are in actuality humans after all. So they make mistakes. Of all the Marvel heroes the most notorious for this is Tom Holland. Once he came out in front of an entire audience revealing that his character had survived in the movie when they had still not even watched it. Marvel literally gave him the wrong ending for Endgame to prevent him from spreading spoilers.
But seems like Tom has learnt from experience and thinks that he is well capable of keeping secrets now.
When asked about how much he knows in regards to the movie, he said
“I know everything now,” he said. “I had my big pitch meeting with Marvel and Sony about two weeks, and I know all the secrets. But I’ve also done about 1000 interviews, so I know how to not spoil a movie anymore.”
Spiderman is one hero whose future seems very exciting as he is going to be a part of two universes. MCU and Sony Spiderman universe. With two Spiderman characters set to appear on screen this year in the form of Venom and Morbius. Maybe that day is not far when we will see a sinister six situation of Spiderman fighting off against all the villains.
