After having lighted up the halls of CinemaCon with a whole lot of sci-fi action and blood, 20th Century Fox has now summoned its first trailer for The Predator.
It shares a lot of similarities with the former sequel, given the suburban setting, but let us not be fooled into thinking that the team of Special Forces will hunt one extra-terrestrial when in reality, a many Predators will actually be hunting them. The universe’s most feared creatures are now back.
A lot more unfolded during the first-look teaser and it proves that Jacob Tremblay, who plays the autistic child named Rory McKenna is instrumental in deciphering the Yautja language.
This is a more serious take on the original movie as compared to John McTiernan’s classic from ’88.
“From the outer reaches of space to the small-town streets of suburbia, the hunt comes home in Shane Black’s explosive reinvention of the Predator series. Now, the universe’s most lethal hunters are stronger, smarter and deadlier than ever before, having genetically upgraded themselves with DNA from other species. When a young boy accidentally triggers their return to Earth, only a ragtag crew of ex-soldiers and a disgruntled science teacher can prevent the end of the human race.”
Starring Trevante Rhodes, Boyd Holbrook, Keegan-Michael Key, Olivia Munn, Jacob Tremblay, Sterling K. Brown, Alfie Allen, Thomas Jane, Augusto Aguilera, Jake Busey, and Yvonne Strahovski, Shane Black’s bold, The Predator will release on September 14th.
