The Clone Wars on Disney+ is proving to be a gold mine for Star Wars. When the original animated series was cancelled fans felt pretty low as they were to let go of something they didn’t know how it would conclude. Though we do know how it shapes up. When the Clone Wars was revived the fans demanded answers and seems like fans got plenty as one of the most serious implications in Saga was made in one of the episodes.
Set between episode 2 and 3 of Star Wars a lot if the animated series is focused on the love between Anakin and Padme. The love that literally destroyed the entire galaxy and made it possible for Palpatine to become an emperor from Chancellor. As we know the Jedi Order cannot marry or have relationships but the love between Anakin and Padme was si strong that they were not able to adhere to the vows and gave in. This set into motion the events that became the Skywalker saga. Though we were always under the impression that the noble Obi Wan Kenobi did not know anything about this. It seems like we were wrong. In one of the episodes when Anakin and Padme are in rendezvous Rex their ally tries to stop Obi Wan Kenobi from finding out and seems to be successful only to find out later that Kenobi had figured out when he says to Anakin that he hoped he said hello to Padme from his side.
Thus the question arises if that was so why didn’t Kenobi inform the authorities why did he let it go on. The answer could be that he knew how it felt to be in love as he himself had feelings for someone and would have left the Jedi Order if she would have asked. So he knew of the pain that was to be in love ad a Jedi. But at the end he did give precedence to his duties. He expected the same out of Anakin. But we all know the catastrophe that happened.
