Avengers: Infinity War is quite a huge movie, and it had plenty of emotions scenes, some of which made audiences cry. Now that the film has been running for a few weeks, fans are discovering minute details which probably hinted the movie’s outcome and one of them is Peter Parker’s T-shirt.
Warning: This article has a major Avengers: Infinity War spoiler.
Peter Parker appeared quite early in Avengers: Infinity War when on the school bus, his Spidey Sense made him realize that something was amiss. Rightly so, as a massive spaceship has emerged in New York skies, forcing the hero to leap into action. There is a brief visual of him on the side of the bus, and get to see his t-shirt which seemed to be featuring a bowl of salad. Now a fan on Reddit spotted the t-shirt, and it truly has a bowl of salad with “Lettuce, The Taste of Sadness” printed on it.
It is not unusual to see Peter Parker wear funny t-shirts. He wore many of those in Spider-Man: Homecoming, but, it is the words “Taste of Sadness” which feels like a gut blow, considering all that happened next. Peter went to space along with that spaceship, working in tandem with Tony Stark/Iron-Man, Doctor Strange and the Guardians of the Galaxy to try and prevent Thanos from succeeding in his mission of collecting all six Infinity Stones and wiping out half of the universe’s life. Unfortunately, they fail. Thanos gets the stones, does the finger snap and people turn into ash all over the universe, and those include Peter Parker. That scene is probably the most unbearable and heart-breaking one in the whole movie.
Taste of sadness, truly.
