Star Wars has been having a weird kind of decade to say the least. First the sequel trilogy which George Lucas said was done and dusted got a life due to Disney. Fans got elated, but their elation sort of got punctured when certain plans that Lucas had about the trilogy was scrapped by Disney. Any which way the movies were released, though they performed really good there was always that tinge in the mind of fandom.
They again got a sort of critical rejuvenation with The Mandalorian, a Disney+ show from the Star Wars universe which literally launched the streaming service to amazing numbers. Now as we are waiting for The Obi Wan Kenobi series and Clone Wars, Disney being Disney is filling this time with various merchandises such as those of Baby Yoda and of course video games.
The game in question is Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order 2, which reportedly is in works at Respawn Entertainment and Electronic Arts, for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, and PC. The report also suggests that Electronic Arts has two Star wars games at development as of this moment. The first one would be a little small and unusual while the second is the sequel of the game launched last year to strong critical reviews and fan reactions Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order.
Fans were already sort of aware of this development, as the original game performed really strongly even after some bug issues but also because a job listing gave away the secret
“We’re picturing someone who is passionate about the Star Wars universe and is invigorated by the idea of coding third-person action-adventure games,” was a job listing published on December.
Fans immediately made sense of it and understood that preparations were underway for a sequel.
The report did not give any further information about a release date or anything.
