As is not difficult to guess, Robert Downey Jr. made a truckload of money to reprise his character of Tony Stark/Iron-Man in the movie.
Variety released a list of top actors’ salaries from the films that they have worked in over the years, or the films that they have signed on to shoot in the future. This list also has Downey Jr. who earned $10 Million for his cameo in Homecoming.

The icon of MCU receiving $10 million is not as much of a shocker as is the fact that the actor was paid the amount for such a brief screen presence.
The entire run-time of Spider-Man: Homecoming is 2 hours, 13 minutes or 133 minutes. Robert Downey Jr. appeared on screen for under 8 minutes, which is close to 6% of the movie.
This means Downey got paid over a million dollars a minute of screen time in the film. That’s really cool.

To clarify things, let’s have a look at some other actors on the list who headed their own movies. Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard got $10 million and $8 million for Jurassic World, respectively. Tom Hardy has been paid $7 million for the upcoming Venom movie where he plays the character of Eddie Brock/Venom. The lead star of a Marvel movie is going to get $3 million less than what went into Downey’s pocket for an eight minutes cameo.
That takes some time to believe.
Robert Downey Jr and Tom Holland both reprised their characters of Iron-Man and Spider-Man in Avengers: Infinity War currently running in theaters globally.
