Rambo 5 Is Coming: Check Out The Awesome Official Poster!

Stallone is shooting Creed 2 as of now, after the original Creed’s huge success and the revival of Rocky series. The last Rambo film didn’t do well, so seems like Stallone might be aiming to repeat the same success that he had with the Rocky franchise.

Although he had earlier said that he was over with Rambo, Stallone is now working on the script for Rambo 5. The movie is being produced by Avi Lerner who had produced The Expendables also. It was previously reported that Lerner was shopping for the film during Cannes this week, and that is proven by the new poster design. The Rambo 2 promo poster shows a drawing of Stallone stabbing his knife into the ground, getting ready for a fierce battle with the Mexican cartel. The text is in black with a red V, which makes the poster give a grim feel.

As far as the movie’s details are concerned, there is nothing new shared so far. The story is based on John Rambo (Sylvester Stallone), who is now retired and working on a ranch. The ranch’s location is not specified, but, it is likely to be on the border, either in California or Texas. The mayhem starts when the daughter of a friend of Rambo is abducted, which propels the veteran to go into Mexico and fight an extremely violent Mexican Cartel. The movie will have blood, action, violence and an overdose of guns because guns are what Rambo is basically about.

Rambo 4 came out in 2008 and had made some money at the box office, but, not as much money as was expected from it. Further, critics slammed it, barring the action scenes. Sylvester Stallone’s action was praised, but, nothing else. His acting was mocked, and a lot of people called Rambo a joke, which is not the thing that you want to hear about Rambo. Sylvester Stallone said that he is done with Rambo, but, after a decade, he is back and gearing up to give it another shot in Rambo 5.

A release date hasn’t been announced so far, but, the new poster reveals that Rambo 5 will hit theaters during fall next year, which is not far. It would be interesting to find out whether Sylvester Stallone and the team will repeat the success of Creed. For now, Creed 2 is scheduled to release in December, and that’s when Rambo 5 would be under-production. We will update you about any developments on Rambo 5 when news emerges, and as of now, go ahead and check out the poster art below, provided by Millennium Films.
