Patrick Stewart Asks An Emotional Whoopi Goldberg To Join The Second Season Of Star Trek: Picard


One of the most anticipated TV series of the year, Star Trek: Picard is gearing towards its release on January 23, 2020. Star trek fans all over the world are hugely excited for this venture.

This brings back the fan favourite Jean-Luc Picard back on our screens. And even though till now the fandom doesn’t have the answer of the question that whether Picard or Kirk was the better caption? There is universal consensus on the fact that everyone loves Patrick Stewart and his return as Picard is nothing but a festival for all his fans.

Not only Stewart but the entire original cast of Star Trek: The Next Generation (TNG) is extremely adored by fans all over the world. Therefore when the news of Stewart attending The View to promote Star Trek Picard came to light, fans were beaming from head to toe knowing that Picard will reunite with Guinan, played by Whoopi Goldberg on the original series who also supervises The View.

But fans got the surprise of their lifetime when they got more out of this appearance than they expected. Patrick Stewart during the course of the interview extended a formal invitation on behalf of Alex Kurtzman, the senior executive producer of ‘Star Trek: Picard’, and all of his colleagues to Goldberg to reprise her iconic character in the already confirmed second season of the show.

To everyone’s delight Goldberg said yes and emotionally conveyed that the show was one of the greatest experiences of her life. Well he sentiment was shared by the fans who were so overwhelmed by everything that they stood from their seats and started clapping.

Guinan was a bartender in the Ten-Forward lounge aboard the starship USS Enterprise-D. She also acted as a confidant for Jean- Luc Picard. The character also had a dark history with both The Borg race and the “Q” entity, the latter of which the fans are also expecting an appearance from in the series.
