All-New Clip From Birds of Prey Shown Debuted During The Game Awards

The 2019 Game Awards make their debut tonight, and all the fans are waiting for some new announcements from the world of video games. Other than the question of what would win Game of the Year and which new game will be revealed, all the DC fans had a pretty specific reason tobe a part of this event. A clip from Birds of Prey (and the Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn) had debuted during this event, and this had shown what the fans can expect from the movie.

Birds of Prey’s role in this event had been teased after Geoff Keighley had shared an image of Valkyrae and CouRage standing with Margot Robbie in her Harley Quinn costume. The involvement had been confirmed in an article by The Hollywood Reporter which had confirmed that a clip would be shown to the fans.

This is the third year that The Game Awards promoted a film, after Aquaman and Shaft.

“Every time we’ve put content out through [The Game Awards] we’ve seen that group take to social in a big way and start talking about our movie,” Warner Bros. exec VP Andrew had said.

“Five or six years ago it felt like we were asking other parts of entertainment to please come be a part of this and now the tables have turned, and the rest of popular culture wants to be in and around games,” Keighley had said.

Birds of Prey is about a team-up between Harley, Black Canary, Huntress, Cassandra Cain and Renee Montoya as they come together against one of Gotham’s Black Mask.

“You can expect something really fun and a bit wild and totally unique.” Winstead had said.

“Every day we were there, we were doing something that just felt really weird and funny and unlike anything else I’ve seen before in this genre. It was incredibly exciting to get to do that. We really got to work. We just played, and we had fun.”
