After Avengers: Endgame Marvel fans all over the world are waiting with bated breath to see what the future of MCU looks like. How does it unfold after killing off two of its main superheroes?
We have had one movie after those events Spiderman: Far from Home, but it didn’t really do anything in terms of bringing it all together and honestly Marvel would shy away from putting the weight of their timeline on Spiderman’s shoulder, no matter how profitable considering the controversial nature of its ownership.
According to recent rumours by Bleeding Cool, it might come in a form we don’t expect as a series. It has reported that a series with storylines from Secret Invasion is in development at Disney+.
Secret Invasion was a comic book crossover that was published in 2008. The story involved a subversive, long-term invasion of Earth by the Skrulls, a group of alien shapeshifters who have secretly replaced many superheroes in the Marvel Universe with impostors over a period of years, prior to the overt invasion.
Though the prospect of it sounds enticing the truth of it could be debatable. It is true that Disney+ would stream a host of Marvel shows like The Falcon and the Winter Soldier WandaVision, Loki, What If…?, Hawkeye, Ms. Marvel, Moon Knight and She-Hulk. But would it really trust the streaming device to carry the burden of such an ambitious project.
But it could also be argued that DC has CW and in the last decade Marvel has been searching for an apt home for all its series. Till now nothing has really matched, maybe this show could lead to the creation of such a relationship.
Maybe Marvel is going to take a call after seeing how the aforementioned series fares on the streaming device.
But if the news is true Marvel fans, you need to go bonkers right now.
