There Are Marvel Cinematic Universe Films Planned Until 2025: Kevin Feige

The latest film from Marvel Studios, Avengers: Infinity War has unleashed the process of the end of the last ten years of storytelling that had started in 2008 with Iron-Man. After fans came to realize it, they felt that this might be the end of the MCU itself. However, the Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige says that Avengers: Infinity War is not the end of it. Rather, they have firm plans for releasing movies as far as until 2025.

Feige doesn’t happen to be the president of Marvel Studios only, but, the whole creator of the MCU. He was talking to AP, and he said that though Avengers: Infinity War might be the culmination of some stories, they are still planning for the future, and the plans are grand.

“We dream big at Marvel Studios,”Feige said. “We have very lofty aspirations at Marvel Studios. For those dreams to be surpassed is saying something.”

What are those lofty aspirations mentioned by Feige? Black Panther succeeded, smashing the box office records and becoming one of the highest-grossing films ever. It has now entered the same league as The Avengers and Avengers: Age of Ultron and the newly released Avengers: Infinity War has once again performed even better than expected. The film had a superb opening weekend, in fact, the best ever opening weekend in the history of films.

Such massive success on the box office is a clear proof that “Avengers fatigue” is not a real thing and there is no way things are going to slow down in the near future. That is superb for Marvel Studios because Kevin Feige has stated that they have a great deal of source material to utilize and stories to tell.

“There are still things that are key elements to a lot of our characters in their comic incarnations that we haven’t even done yet for characters who have had three or four movies,” Feige said. “It is an amazing wealth of creative material to pull from.”

Feige’s comments about many more stories to tell and future-focused vision back his earlier statements about MCU continuing despite the Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers 4 being the closure of the first ten years of the franchise.

“It doesn’t mean the MCU is coming to a close, by any means,” Feige had told Fandango before Avengers: Infinity War released “But it means the narrative that started when we began ten years ago will have a conclusion.”

Fans can now see that conclusion taking place and also start wondering about what might be in store for us in MCU’s future movies. The Avengers: Infinity War is currently running in theaters all over the world.

Other future MCU movies include Ant-Man and The Wasp on July 6th, Captain Marvel on March 8, 2019, Avengers 4 on May 3, 2019. Spider-Man: Homecoming 2 on July 5, 2019, and Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 in 2020.
