Marvel Finally Announces Cable, Fans Excited

Cable is now getting ready for a new solo series. This publisher had announced Cable #1, and this was written by Gerry Duggan, and the art is by Phil Noto. This series will star a younger version of Cable who had come back in time and also killed his older self. Cable lives with a lot of mutants on the island of Krakoa. Nathan Summers is now going looking for trouble. As he had done with X-Force, Cable will take a few young mutant under his wing. This includes young X-Men mutants like Armor and also, Pixie.

Marvel has promised that the new Cable series will include “adventurous fun and high-stakes thrills, with monsters, space prophecies, romance, and of course, explosions!” Duggan had written the character during his run on Uncanny Avengers. He is popular for his run with Deadpool and Dawn of X era X-Men series, Marauders.

“I’m thrilled to be back working in the X-Universe and very happy to get the band back together with my buddy, Gerry Duggan,” Noto had said.

“Cable’s always been a favorite of mine, and it’s fun to work in a painterly style again ala Black Widow. Very excited for people to read this book. I think we’re doing something really special. Stay tuned!”

The new version of Cable had debuted during the Extermination event. He had teamed up with X-Force. In the Dawn of X era, he had been featured in X-Men and was fighting with other members of the Summers family. He is one of the main characters in Fallen Angels, and this is a series that features mutants who do not fit in on Krakoa like Cable, Psylocke, and also, X-23.

Head of X Jonathan Hickman will be writing a series of Giant-Size X-Men one-shots, and the first will focus on Jean Grey and Emma Frost. The second will be about Magneto.
