Hulk is the strongest superhero in the Marvel universe. The angrier he gets, the stronger he gets and no opponent is a match for the Hulk. At times, he can be funny as well and the actor who portrays the Hulk is Mark Ruffalo who is an absolute funny guy in real life.
Born in Kenosha, Wisconsin, on November 22, 1967, Mark Ruffalo made his stage debut in 1990, and a decade later played a role in the film You Can Count on Me.
Ruffalo appeared as one of the lead roles in the drama Foxcatcher, as a wrestler affiliated with millionaire and self-appointed trainer John du Pont. The film, garnered major awards and critical interest, and Ruffalo earned both Golden Globe and Academy Award nominations for his role.
Ruffalo suffered a setback in 2002 when he was diagnosed with a brain tumour. The surgery to remove the tumour left him with a partial facial paralysis which Ruffalo recovered fully from and his career picked up right where it had left off.
He later earned another Oscar nod, this time for his role as newspaper reporter Mike Rezendes in the 2015 drama Spotlight, which followed the Catholic Church sex abuse scandal in Boston. The film itself won an Academy Award for Best Picture in 2016.
Being a versatile actor he has played a range of characters in a vast spectrum of roles from comedic to dramatic.
