Is This The Reason Why The Hawkeye Was Missing From Avengers: Infinity War

It is revealed that filming was on for Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers 4 simultaneously in Atlanta, and Renner was also filming another movie Tag, in the vicinity. Tag is based on a group of friends who get involved in playing the childhood game and they take things too seriously and too out of control.

Hamm co-stars with Jeremy Renner in Tag and he said that  Renner broke both his arms during the initial stages of the movie.

“Jeremy Renner… broke both of his arms on the same time,” Hamm stated on Ellen. “Day three of production. We had 40 more days to go. Keep in mind this is a man who’s done a hundred Avengers movies and been fine. And he does a movie about playing tag… both arms, like firewood, just snapped like a matchstick.”

In the movies, Hawkeye apparently retired from his superhero career after Captain America: Civil War, opting to give more time with his family that was seen in Avengers: Age of Ultron. So, was it the extent of his injuries which resulted in Hawkeye not being a part of Avengers: Infinity War? Were the makers and Marvel Studios compelled to change things related to Clint Barton? Will his injuries also affect his on-screen presence in Avengers 4?

Everything is a matter of speculation for now, and it is all strange coincidence, if anything. The makers of Avengers films  have stated that those characters which didn’t get prominent roles in Infinity War will get more work in the sequel. That in other words, might mean that there would be enough time  for the archer to standout.

Avengers: Infinity war is still running in theaters and up next is Ant-Man and the Wasp releasing next month, Captain Marvel on March 8, 2019, Avengers 4 on May 3, 2019, Spider-Man: Homecoming 2 on July 5th, 2019 and Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 in 2020.
