Fans are literally drooling over Robert Pattinson look as the caped crusader. Yes, people were slightly disappointed when the news of Pattinson taking on the role of Batman aka Bruce Wayne surfaced. But you know what DC’s reception is weird. I mean what you expect from DC most probably never really happens. Nobody expected Arrowverse to become what it became. After the failure of Green Lantern and No Ordinary Family, nobody though that there was a shot that Berlanti could not only create TV empire around him but also Reinvigorate DC on screen so much that they will be forced to give their attention to him. Nobody thought Batman v/s Superman’s extended cut could actually change its reception. Nobody thought that it would be Aquaman and Wonder Woman who would in actuality recharge DCEU not Batman or Superman.
So people especially DC fans have realised that everything that comes from DC should be taken with caution and open arms. So that is what is happening with Reeve’s Batman. His look obviously has been extensively delved deep into by fans. His look is clearly inspired by the Batman: Arkham games considering how modern it is. To those not aware Arkham features Batman in a modern avatar with the most premier technology and his mask because of its nose stich reminds people of Adam West’s Batman. And don’t get me started on the chest insignia, because if it is what is being speculated then it is heart breaking to say the least and would make the viewers cry.
This could also mean that the movie will have a multiple villains approach. As in Arkham this approach is dominant and we know that both Riddler and Penguin are appearing. So can we expect a super villain team up?
Many fans are speculating which story of Batman it will be adapting, many thought Year one to which Reeves said “Year One is one of the many comic books that I love. We are definitely not doing Year One. It’s just exciting to be focused very specifically on a tale that is defining for him and very personal to him. Obviously we’re not doing an origin tale or anything like that. We’re doing a story that is definitively Batman though, and trying to tell a story that’s emotional and yet is really about him being the world’s greatest detective and all the things that for me, since I was a kid, made me love Batman.”
