You can convey your thanks to RedditorCheesenaut who created an easy guide to depict how the leading MCU characters fit into the scheme. Beginning with Iron-Man and going into Iron-Man 2, you can see the other important MCU elements take place, such as Thor, The Incredible Hulk, and Captain America: The First Avenger.

That went on to bring the Avengers movie which introduced various superheroes together in a never before way. The lines that emerged from each film are representative of the leading characters of MCU, so in relation with Captain America: The First Avenger, those were Captain and Bucky, who were next seen in Captain America: The Winter Soldier. As far as Iron-Man 2 is concerned, they happened to be War Machine and Black Widow apart from Iron-Man himself and for Thor, they were Thor, Loki, and Hawkeye.

At the next level, you see the lines lead to Avengers: Age of Ultron, barring Winter Soldier, who is missing from action until Captain America: Civil War. Loki has a similar route and doesn’t appear until Thor: Ragnarok. The Guardians of the Galaxy have a straight line right into the Avengers: Infinity War.

Tragically, the only characters that don’t feed into Avengers: Infinity War happen to be Ant-Man and The Wasp, because their movie is based before Infinity War. Hawkeye gets a reference in the movie, but, won’t appear until Avengers 4. Captain Marvel is yet to debut in MCU, but, things will change next March.

You can have a look at the complete timeline above.

Some fans observed that Red Skull’s comeback in Avengers: Infinity War must get him a place on the timeline (that was totally unpredictable), and it would be fascinating to witness the changes to this timeline after the release of Avengers 4 and start of Phase 4.

Black Panther and Avengers: Infinity War are playing in theaters now. Up next will be Ant-Man and the Wasp on July 6, 2018, Captain Marvel on March 8, 2019, the fourth Avengers movie on May 3, 2019, the sequel to Spider-Man: Homecoming on July 5, 2019, and Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 in 2020.
