It looks like the future of the Deadpool franchise is uncertain after Deadpool 2, but this has not stopped actor, Ryan Reynolds from dreaming about a crossover: a film with Reynolds’ Deadpool with Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine.
Reynolds had once joked about Jackman joining the franchise of Deadpool, but he was more on-the-level about this. Recently, when asked about a Deadpool / Wolverine crossover movie and this is what he said:
“I think convincing Hugh of that would be a near-impossible feat, but there’s no human being I love more than Hugh Jackman in that universe, and equally so as a friend. He’s just the best. I already miss him as Logan, so I’m one of those guys that whenever I see him, I’m like, ‘Come on, man. Just one more. Come on. We’ll do it together. It’ll be fun. Come on! On three. Here we go, together. One, two, three, together,’ and it’s always just me saying it.”
Fans of X-Men would surely love to see these actors bring their characters alive for a crossover movie before the Fox / Disney deal reboots the franchise within the MCU. But Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine is dead due to the brutal battles and his failing Healing Factor.
While addressing how Deadpool and Logan would be onscreen together, Reynolds said:
“He’s alive and well in my timeline. There is a Logan running around out there with a little bushy chest and his little sharpy, sharpy claws, and he is alive and well and ready to go. I would love that.”
The fans would want to see a Wolverine and Deadpool team-up movie soon. Jackman’s as Logan is sure to be perfect on screen with Reynold’s manic Deadpool. ; the scenes of the two characters fighting could be inventive and the team-up against a villain may be what we all deserve to see.
