The teaser trailer for Black Widow just dropped a few hours ago, and all the Marvel fans are now waiting for the movie to hit theatres. The trailer saw Scarlett Johansson’s Natasha Romanoff being done with running from her past and all ready to face reality.
The teaser trailer is just a little over two minutes, and it is pretty robust for a teaser. The video gives us some context within the Marvel Cinematic Universe for this fan-favourite S.H.I.E.L.D. agent turned Avenger. We then see her confronting her past and reuniting with her “family.”
This has been directed by Cate Shortland, and the script is by Jac Schaeffer and Ned Benson. The movie has been set after the events of the movie, Captain America: Civil War, and we will see Natasha head off to confront her past. This includes the Soviet brainwashing, the Red Room, and also the training facility that we had seen in the illusion scene in the movie, Avengers: Age of Ultron, and also the “blood in her ledger”.
This new teaser brings all the character’s threads together, and introduces Florence Pugh as Yelena Belova and also Rachel Weisz as Melina. Fans got their first look at the members of the Black Widow Program and David Harbour as Alexei Shostakov, aka Red Guardian.
Black Widow will release on May 1, 2020.
