A six-minute prologue for the action movie thriller – Tenet, directed by the acclaimed director/writer Christopher Nolan, will play in front of IMAX screenings of Birds of Prey in India. Birds of Prey is an upcoming DC film starring Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn. This is the very Tenet prologue that was shown at the beginning of Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker in select IMAX multiplexes in the US back in December.
Christopher Nolan’s action-packed thriller is being described as “an action epic evolving from the world of international espionage”. The film stars Robert Pattinson, Michael Caine, Himesh Patel, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Dimple Kapadia, former ice hockey player Sean Avery, John David Washington, Clémence Poésy, Kenneth Branagh, Martin Donovan, Elizabeth Debicki and Denzil Smith. Tenet is also being produced by Nolan with his wife Emma Thomas.
Back in September, Nolan filmed Tenet in Mumbai for five days, using half the time he had reportedly intended to. India is one of seven production countries for the film, alongside the UK, the US, Italy, Denmark, Estonia, and Norway. The locations shot in India included Gateway of India, Colaba Causeway, The Taj Mahal Palace Hotel, Breach Candy Hospital, Royal Bombay Yacht Club, Colaba Market, Grant Road, and Cafe Mondegar.
Birds of Prey is set to release on February 7 in India. Tenet is slated to hit the silver screens on July 17 worldwide.
