Every important detail about Avengers: Infinity War has been kept secret by the movie’s makers as they endeavor to surprise the viewers when the film hits the theaters. However, there is still a lot of speculation related to Captain Marvel’s appearance.
While the most recent statement mentions that Brie Larson is going to be in reserves until the release of Avengers 4 in 2019, Thanos (Josh Brolin) disclosed that he had shot some scenes with Larson during an interview with Total Film.
“I thought, ‘What the [frick] am I doing here?’ Because you’re in a onesie, man,” Brolin said. “You’ve got to walk around in a onesie and imagine yourself as an actor with some impact. It starts messing with your head.
“I’m Josh, who’s got dots on him, and a onesie, and a helmet can, and I’ve got Scarlett right there, and I’ve got Brie, and Don Cheadle, and Hemsworth, and Chris Evans, and Downey… I’m sitting there, and I’m looking like I look, which is not 700lb and purple and eight feet tall. I mean, I’m feeling about as far from Jason Statham as one can feel at that moment, and yet I’m acting like I feel ten times what Jason Statham is. I’m the man!”
This is quite an intriguing statement because the Russo Brothers have steadily shied away from revealing any plot element related to these two films. In fact, things are so secretive that we don’t even know whether Thanos is a part of the Avengers 4 or not. At present, it seems quite obvious, but, there has been no formal confirmation.
Therefore, it is difficult to decide which film he was talking about, but, if he meant Avengers: Infinity War then it means we have another fantastic battle to watch out for.
Initially, Russo Brothers had said that Brie Larson would appear as Captain Marvel in Avengers: Infinity War before they went back on that and said that portion had been deleted. You can never be sure whether they were honest because Larson did appear on set filming the scenes.
Therefore, either Thanos would go on troubling the heroes in Avengers 4 as well, which is quite likely or Captain Marvel might land in Avengers: Infinity War itself and the Russos merely tried to do the firefighting.
There is no doubt as to which scenario would make us happier.
Since Thanos has been projected as the end game of MCU, we are sure that The Avengers would be in a better position if Carol Danvers gives them a helping hand.
Avengers: Infinity War premieres next Friday.
