While Avengers: Infinity War featured a shipload of characters, most of which happened to be superheroes, the Avengers 4 promises to bring even more characters to the battlefront.
Avengers 4 is going to be bigger than Avengers: Infinity War in terms of heroes, so it is obvious that there is a need for more villains too. Thanos’s army is gone, and none of his evil kids are alive now so the battle will be truly epic only if more villains join it. Let’s look at the villains who are either certain, rumored or expected to be a part of Avengers 4.
1. Loki (Confirmed)
Loki didn’t get even a minute of run-time literally in Avengers: Infinity War, but, he will be back in Avengers 4. The movie is heavy on time travel, and since the God of Mischief was a vital part of previous MCU phases, we are sure he will play a very important role, and Avengers 4 might be the real farewell for the beloved villain.
2. Red Skull (Rumoured)
We were surprised and happy to see Red Skull return to big screen inInfinity War. While some say that it was a homage to the character, we believe that the villain might have business to do in the next film. It would be awesome to see the Nazi bad guy fight Captain America, and we hope Marvel is listening.
3. Skrulls (Rumoured/Confirmed)
These alien shapeshifters will debut in Captain Marvel, but, their presence is almost certain in Avengers 4 as well. According to a theory, the Skrulls also suffered the catastrophe of Thanos’ finger snap, and they will be hiding on our planet. We are likely to see Hawkeye in his Ronin version, out hunting the green aliens in Avengers 4.
4. Abomination (Speculated)
Fans have been clamoring for Abomination to return to the big screen. Since Kevin Feige has acknowledged his existence in MCU and Hulk needs an old enemy to beat so that he can regain his confidence, so Abomination might just be what they need in Avengers 4.
5. Hela (Rumoured)
How can they restrict the Goddess of Death to a one film appearance? Seeing Hela flank Thanos would be surely a fascinating thing and would set up the final battle nicely.
6. Ronan (Rumoured)
Ronan The Accuser came under fire for his Guardians of the Galaxy appearance, but, people didn’t find him to be the worst villain around. He is going to be a part of the prequel film with Captain Marvel, and although he had died in the Guardians of the Galaxy movie, rumors indicate that his clones might be alive. Also, not to forget that Avengers 4 is a time travel film and he might be brought to the future to battle the Guardians in the movie.
7. Death (Speculated)
Lady Death is really big in the world of comic books, and she plays a crucial role in the Infinity Gauntlet comics. In fact, she was the reason why Thanos undertook all these adventures as he wanted to impress her. Fans will be delighted to see her.
8. Ultron (Rumoured)
Despite not having much of an impact in the Avengers: Infinity War narrative, Age of Ultron was a mega film which surely won’t be overlooked. Some of the scenes from the movie have already been witnessed in leaked set photos, and there are rumors indicating that Ultron will have a hand to play in Avengers 4.
9. The Collector &The Grandmaster (Confirmed)
Although The Collector apparently perished when his vault was destroyed in Avengers: Infinity War, but, recently Jeff Goldblum said he had survived Thanos’ finger snap and indicated that he might meet his brother TaneleerTivan in the next movie. This is what Goldblum had said:
“I don’t know. Who knows. They’ve got a good imagination. Kevin Feige, Louis D’Esposito, and Victora Alonso over there, they know what they’re doing. They make good movies. Well, see if I could contribute anything to what they were doing. I imagine this that my brother, the Collector played by Beniciodel Toro maybe they see us together. I don’t know. Who knows but my character can do anything. I’ve got more superpowers than all of them put together.”
Although these two characters are not much important in terms of narrative, fans would love to see them in the movie.
10. Thanos (Confirmed)
Thanos made as big an impact as possible in Avengers: Infinity War and succeeded in his mission of wiping out half of the life in the universe. He is going to be back, but, this time Avengers will eventually prevail. We are sure to see Thanos use every power at his disposal before going down.
To sum it up, Avengers 4 will give us plenty of mind-blowing reasons to love it, and Thanos would be bigger and deadlier than in the last movie.
