Avengers: Infinity War is now racing towards becoming the world’s biggest movie and has grossed more than a Billion Dollars in 2 weeks. This is the film that Marvel was planning to release for the last 10 years, and the movie is a culmination of everything that has happened in the MCU. This film was a fan-pleasing comic-book thriller and blew all the fans’ minds.

In spite of the great cast of heroes, the protagonist of the film was Thanos. Josh Brolin embraced a very strong villainous character and the movie had a very dark tone and broke new ground in comic-the book films. The stakes were very high, and the movie had earth-shattering consequences for the MCU as a whole.

‘Thanos’ had been built as the ‘Darth Vader’ of the MCU and he has now proven to be a lot more terrifying than Vader. He was the worst foe that the Avengers faced. He was not just a scary warlord he was an evil person who had a purpose.

He ever wanted to bring balance to the entire universe by exterminating half of the life in the galaxy. He then went collected 6 Infinity Stones (Power, Space, Time, Mind, Reality, Soul) and changed existence forever.

In the movie, we see Heimdall, Loki, Gamora Vision and the Black Order being killed off. Towards the end of the movie, half the population is seen disintegrating when Thanos snaps his fingers.

Since they had disintegrated, fans are now expecting that the deaths will be undone and all the characters will be brought back in the Avengers 4 movie. They may come back, but according to the writers, Christopher Markus, and Stephen McFeely, the deaths are permanent.

“Markus – [Avengers 4] doesn’t do what you think it does. It is a different movie than you think it is. Also…[the deaths are] real. I just want to tell you it’s real, and the sooner you accept that, the sooner you will be able to move on to the next stage of grief.”

“McFeely – Put it this way. I think [Infinity War] is a fairly mature movie for a blockbuster. It’s got a lot of fun in it, obviously, but boy, it gets very mature. The second one is also mature. We’re going to own these choices, and hopefully surprise and delight you and get you invested. It’s by the same studio, the same filmmaking team. They were written at the same time, shot at the same time. They’re connected, but they are two different movies, one of which is dependent on what happened previously.”

“Markus – We broke your heart. Now we’re going to blow your mind!”

Avengers 4 will blow us away once again, and it will be much bigger than Infinity War. Joe and Anthony Russo have now revealed that the movie will be a game changer and will have twists like in Captain America: The Winter Soldier.

They had been asked if the nex movie would wipe away the effects of Thanos’ finger snap:

“Anthony Russo – It’s hard to talk about because it’s so specific to the ending, what’ he’s talking about.

Joe Russo – We will say this, obviously Thanos is a very formidable villain and to beat Thanos will come at a very high cost. We’re committed to stakes, we believe in stakes, and we like to shake up the Marvel Universe. We had a big game-changer at the end of WinterSoldier, had a big game-changer at the end of CivilWar, a big game-changer at the end of InfinityWar. Obviously, there will be a big game changer at the end of Avengers4.”

Almost anything is possible for Avengers 4 right now, and the writers teased a few aspects that have not been explored in a Marvel movie like alternate realities, time travel, parallel dimensions and even resurrections.
