A lot of descriptions of the Aquaman teaser trailer had screened at the CinemaCon, 2018. Last year was a success for DC Films with Wonder Woman, and Justice League (well, not really a success). The superhero franchise does continue with at least 3 films on the slate. Next year, we will see Shazam! and Wonder Woman 2 and before that, Aquaman will release this year.
All the fans are super eager to see a trailer for the Aquaman movie which stars Jason Momoa (Arthur Curry). But it seems like an Aquaman trailer is not ready for a release as of now because of the VFX work required. The Unfinished Aquaman footage had screened at SDCC, though it did not release online.
DC Films have now shown a rough Aquaman trailer during CinemaCon 2018 in Las Vegas, Nevada.
According to a few reports from CinemaCon, this trailer and the footage focuses on the clash between Aquaman and Ocean Master. This footage includes some shots of Atlantis cityscapes and seahorses and a gladiator-like coliseum.
In the coliseum, Ocean Master hypes up a crowd and rallies them against Aquaman. Momoa displays his physicality as Aquaman and wields a quindent and even lifts a submarine.
The footage features Ocean Master saying,
“The war is coming to the surface and I am bringing the wrath of the seven seas with me!”.
Mera (Amber Heard) pleads with Arthur and says,
“Unless you help us, millions will die.”
But this trailer does not focus on the conflict between Arthur and his brother and features a few quips from Momoa:
“I’m a blunt instrument, and I am damned good at it.”
There is one footage which includes a shot of Black Manta (Yahya Abdul-Mateen II). Those who had seen the Aquaman teaser offered their reactions and many praised it.
In spite of the footage having a few unfinished visual effects, it had been described by most people as “epic”.
Based on this footage’s description and the reactions from those who watched the video, it looks like DC Films is looking to come back after the performance of Justice League.
We hope that Aquaman will deliver a hit like Jenkins’ Wonder Woman. It does sound like Aquaman has a lot of potential to become a successful movie.
