The call of duty fandom can finally breathe comfortably as it has been confirmed that the game will release its new series this year. This news came at Activision’s, the parent company of the game earning call meeting where the future of this beloved game was also discussed. Though no further details were divulged it was said that this new edition is generating a lot of interests internally meaning that the early play tests of the game has been positive. Thus the company has a huge confidence in the content this game possesses. The developer of this new game was also not announced.
Surprisingly Activision said to their investors that though they had confidence on the content of this game they did not expect the game to be as profitable as Call of Duty: Modern Warfare when the game released on PS4, Xbox One, and PC in October. However it is noteworthy that the company gave the same statement when Modern Warfare was released in terms of Call of Duty: Black Ops 4, so this might just be Activision’s way of cautioning their investors.
Though not official a lot of information regarding the game had been doing rounds in the last couple of months. Kotaku reported that Call of Duty: Black Ops 5 would be from Treyarch Studios, and before that Sledgehamer and Raven Software were creating this 2020 Call of Duty game which got rejected. The game would reportedly be set in Cold War as well as Vietnam War.
All of this is unofficial information, the only thing confirmed in this regard is that a version of Call Of Duty is releasing his year.
