The new set video starts with Gadot hanging overhead in a harness above the 1980s models of cars. Once the camera starts filming, Gadot gets into a sitting position. Then Gadot and the camera zip down the street as she observes her surroundings.
Due to the fact that the vehicle is invisible, we can’t say for sure if it is indeed the iconic Wonder Woman Invisible Jet or not. Since she is hovering quite low on a busy street, it might just be an invisible car and not an aircraft, maybe something just to pay homage to the Invisible Jet. However, we still think it has to be the jet because it has been a part of her comic book mythology for such a long time.
In fact, the Invisible Jet has been a regular in Wonder Woman comics right from the very first issue in Sensation Comics #1 created by the duo of William Marston and H.G. Peter. It also has made an appearance in other mediums such as the 1975 live-action series featuring Lynda Carter to the animated series Super Friends. Going by the video shared here, Wonder Woman 1984 might take that forward.
As is clear by the movie’s title, the sequel will be a time jump for Diana who was last seen trying to bring World War 1 to an end in 1917 by defeating Ares. Although there is not much information available about the sequel, it is clear that Diana is now going to battle Cheetah (Kristen Wiig).
Patty Jenkins directed Wonder Woman 1984 stars Gal Gadot, Chris Pine, Kristen Wiig and Pedro Pascal. Wonder Woman 1984 will release in theaters on Nov. 1, 2019.
