Ron Howard is surely a Warwick Davis fan, and he has given a huge shout-out to this 47-year-old person, and this confirms that he will reprise his role as one of the Ewoks from 1983’s movie, Return Of The Jedi.
This comes after one fan had tweeted this director about a new Willow film:
‘Glad you are asking for one! I directed @WarwickADavis for the 1st time in 30 years today. It made me happy,’ he had tweeted.
While another fan had written:
‘Warwick Davis is a national treasure,’ with the thumbs up emoji, and added: ‘Also on board to see a Willow sequel’.
Howard re-tweeted many fans and this had indicated it may actually be a possibility.
While Davis had written,
‘’Reminded me what a wonderful experience #Willow was, made so by your expert direction & friendship. After 30yrs, you’ve still got the magic!’, Ron Howard had been confirmed as the director for the Han Solo movie after Phil Lord and Chris Miller had been fired.
‘At Lucasfilm, we believe the highest goal of each film is to delight, carrying forward the spirit of the saga that George Lucas began forty years ago,’ Kathleen Kennedy had said.
‘With that in mind, we’re thrilled to announce that Ron Howard will step in to direct the untitled Han Solo film. We have a wonderful script, an incredible cast and crew, and the absolute commitment to make a great movie. Filming will resume July 10.’
This movie stars Alden Ehrenreich as Han Solo, and this character was made famous by Harrison Ford. The Hollywood Reporter has claimed that Howard’s very first step as the director would be to meet with the cast which includes Ehrenreich, Woody Harrelson, Donald Glover, Thandie Newton and Emilia Clarke.
