Star Wars: Episode IX is expected to take the franchise in “unexpected directions”, similar to The Last Jedi before it, then it will unleash a full-fledged war to that iconic galaxy far, far away, so it is not surprising why the aspiring Star Wars fans are already eager to watch the film and waiting for December 20th, 2019.
While J.J. Abrams and Chris Terrio have kept all plot details strictly under their custody, bits and pieces of information have somehow escaped from captivity, and the latest major rumor claims that Lucasfilm is hunting for a major female character to join the battle alongside the troubled Jedi Rey (Daisy Ridley).
Going a step ahead, last week a Reddit user ‘FOOSLS’ shared what he said was a “very early storyboard” for the upcoming movie. Since his previous leak related to ‘The Last Jedi’ had been accurate, this is bound to make the fans speculate.
One of the unconfirmed story leaks is claiming that Star Wars: Episode IX takes a time leap of five years after The Last Jedi and that might explain why John Boyega has been busy growing his hair longer. Well, things simply become insane from that point..
Check out this tiny excerpt from the lengthy Reddit post:
Five years after The Last Jedi, the Resistance is no longer centralized and is not a popular idea among the galaxy. Kylo Ren’s rule over the galaxy is seen by most as benevolent. Many within the Resistance itself are questioning why they should even be fighting. Not surprisingly, Rey, Poe, Finn, and Leia are all still holding fast to the idea the galaxy should not be under [Imperical] rule. They are tipped off by a mole inside the First Order promising that if they follow their lead, they will discover the horrifying true nature of the First Order.
However, we must emphasize that this is most likely a leak from an old storyboard which would have been discarded during the initial pre-production stage. Yet, the fact that Boyega had also recently referred to a potential time leap between Episode VIII and Episode IX makes a compelling case.
In any case, the truth will be out when Star Wars: Episode IX lands in the theaters on planet Earth on December 20th, 2019.
