A couple of years ago, it was announced that the moviemaker Justin Lin was joining hands with basketball legend Lebron James to create the Space Jam sequel, which had featured the legendary Michael Jordan. Although nothing more was heard about Space Jam 2 since then, now various reports have emerged claiming that James will unveil the trailer during the summer when he will announce his next team.

James is the top player in the world, and he will again be a free agent during the summer and is expected to exit the Cleveland Cavaliers once more, joining a new team. As reported by The Hype Magazine and Brandon “Scoop B” Robinson from Basketball Society, Lebron will be the center of the nation’s attention, and he will use the occasion to unveil the trailer for Space Jam 2. He is also expected to utilize the newly-launched Instagram TV to do that.

Robinson has reported that after Lebron’s future decision is announced, he will share a trailer or a documentary for Space Jam 2on Instagram TV, via his new Uninterrupted platform.

The logic behind Lebron’s wait to release the trailer only after his decision is purely marketing related. The trailer is expected to mention the name of Lebron’s next team, so it has to wait until his choice is declared in public.

The good thing is that fans don’t need to wait too long to find out what Lebron would do as a free agent. He has the option to play with the Cavaliers which implies that he has the option for one more year of his present contract. James needs to decide by June 29, but, it is more likely that he will opt-out and become a free agent.

If he does that, then he would be able to sign with a new team after his free agency starts on July 1. As per insiders and oddsmakers, Lebron is likely to choose one between the Los Angeles Lakers, Houston Rockets, Philadelphia 76ers, or San Antonio Spurs. At the same time, it is not ruled out that he might be back with the Cavaliers with a fresh contract.
