We have always loved superheroes. Back in our childhood, we all wanted to be, or should we say, pretended to be superheroes. It used to be so much fun to use those towel capes and say ‘up, up and away.’ There is no doubt that the comic books have impacted various generations in big ways and at some point of time or the other, all of us had our favorite superheroes. In fact, most of us still have. With the evolution of cinema and technology, almost all of our favorite superhero characters have made big and small screen appearances in live-action format. In fact, if we talk about comic books, the two biggest rivals are DC Comics and Marvel Comics who compete with each other incessantly.

This fierce competition and various other reasons as well make each rival keep track of what is working for the other, and it is not exactly unusual to see “reversed’ characters. One of the reasons is that most of the famous superheroes are based on stereotypes which are required to build the expansive universes. Characters like archers, undersea kings, cat thieves, armored warriors, and magicians are some of those characters. These are so commonplace that there could be scores of iterations of such characters, yet, only basic commonalities between them.

However, there are other characters which are more peculiar, and yet they get “reproduced” in the other worlds, and that is often due to a couple of things. In a few cases, the creative artists working for either DC or Marvel happen to be “work for hire” basis, and they switch to the other side where they create another version of the character that met success for their previous employer. Then there are times when creators spot a beloved character or team and create another version that can make them interact with the other side. Both DC and Marvel have indulged in such things, and here we have created a compilation of some of the most interesting replicas. Here we present to you ten times Marvel copied DC and 10 DC copies of Marvel.
