Filming for the Titans series has begun in Toronto and centres on a team of young superheroes Starfire, Raven and Beast Boy led by Dick Grayson as Robin. Hawk & Dove, as well as the Doom Patrol, will also be seen. Curran Walters will play Jason Todd in the upcoming DC Universe live-action drama Titans.
Known as the second Robin, Jason Todd succeeded Dick Grayson as Batman’s sidekick, only to be murdered in 1988 by The Joker. The character was resurrected in 2005 as the Red Hood and achieved a level of popularity.
The set photos of Walters don’t reveal too much, so we don’t know what role Jason might play on Titans. He might be seen in his civilian identity or could be part of a storyline that shows the transition of Dick Grayson from Robin to Nightwing.
Titans will launch on Warner Bros’ DC Universe streaming network, along with the animated Young Justice: Outsiders and Harley Quinn. These shows will be later joined by the live-action Swamp Thing and Doom Patrol.
Titans stars Brenton Thwaites as Dick Grayson, Anna Diop as Starfire, Teagan Croft as Raven, Ryan Potter as Beast Boy, Alan Ritchson as Hawk, Minka Kelly as Dove and Lindsey Gort as Amy Rohrbach.
